Duval Strong

Yesterday an unthinkable act happened in my hometown.  I was with a long time friend when we heard the news and it definitely shook us as we were eating our lunch. It truly saddened me for most of the day, but during that feeling of shock and questioning I was reminded to give this to Christ.  For the post I did Sunday morning was all about control and giving that up to God even in the worst of circumstances.  I am sorrowed by what has happened, but this morning I rejoice in knowing that God has it all under control!  It's okay to ask "Why?" during situations....as long as you're directing your question to Jesus.  He might not give you the answer you're looking for, but He will give you the answer you need!    I've seen in the media people saying that "Thoughts and Prayers" are not sufficient to end the pain and provide a reasonable solution.  This is the only solution. Lewis Control might be the most difficult thing a person can give up.  We live in a world that screams control.  How often do you fall into the trap that you can change your circumstances with some tips from a magazine, motivational speaker, advertisement, and even from your friends and family. How often do you rely on your outcomes over your output?  The world will trick you into thinking you are in control, when really you aren't.  Whenever your eyes are off of Jesus, things in your life will work to mask His great and wonderful plan.  Whenever your eyes are off of Jesus, things can, and most of the time are, comfortable!  The enemy wants you to be comfortable and stagnant.  You choose each and every day who you surrender to.  We can choose to be obedient to God and His plan, or we can choose to live our own way.
