Yesterday an unthinkable act happened in my hometown. I was with a long time friend when we heard the news and it definitely shook us as we were eating our lunch. It truly saddened me for most of the day, but during that feeling of shock and questioning I was reminded to give this to Christ. For the post I did Sunday morning was all about control and giving that up to God even in the worst of circumstances.
I am sorrowed by what has happened, but this morning I rejoice in knowing that God has it all under control! It's okay to ask "Why?" during situations....as long as you're directing your question to Jesus. He might not give you the answer you're looking for, but He will give you the answer you need!
I've seen in the media people saying that "Thoughts and Prayers" are not sufficient to end the pain and provide a reasonable solution. This is the only solution.
My prayer for you is that you box up your tribulations and give them to God. God is greater and more powerful than we can ever imagine.
John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world"
I've been reading this verse over and over and in it, Jesus says that in Him we may have peace. Go to Him.
